Wedding Taste Test | Southern Food Stations

Matt Hayden

Southern Food Stations

Scratch Events Catering has a history steeped in Southern Fare.  Before forming Scratch Events Catering in 2010, Chef Mathew Hayden owned The Chimneys Inn, a Restaurant that specialized in “Southern Metro Fare” with a menu that ranged from New Orleans inspired dishes to classic Texas BBQ. Shortly after forming Scratch Events Catering in Centerville, Scratch acquired Executive Chef Marshall Bartley who was fresh off a Head Chef position in Savannah Georgia.  With their combined efforts, Chef Marshall and Chef Matthew Hayden created a reinvented menu of Southern Food Stations to address local demand for shabby chic and country chic reinterpretations of traditional Southern classics.

It appears that 2015 is going to be a year of creative Southern Food stations.  Our first Wedding Taste of 2015 was a resounding success, in no small part due to a menu of appetizer and small plate reinterpretations of classic Southern Food choices.

Check out this menu – it is no surprise that these comforting Southern Classics were a hit !!
